To help you get a better idea of the myriad possibilities that await you with the new resource management tool, here are a just a few examples of what you can do:
Scenario 1 — One Gym, Three Different Sports.
You want to offer three different training courses (basketball, volleyball, indoor hockey) in a single gymnasium.
Before: In order to offer all three courses, they would need to be pre-scheduled for different times, e.g. basketball from 9AM till 11AM, volleyball from 11AM till 1PM, indoor hockey from 1PM till 3PM, basketball from 3PM till 5PM, and so on.
Now you can offer all three courses for all available 2-hour timeslots. If a basketball course is booked for 11AM to 1PM, the gym is automatically made unavailable for the other two sports during that time.
Easily find out which time slots are best for each sport, or simply let your customers continue choosing their own times. Either way — it’s game on!
Scenario 2 — Five Tours, Lots of Bikes.
You want to offer five different guided bike tours through Amsterdam with a fleet of 50 bicycles.
Before each tour would be assigned 10 bikes. If a particular tour turned out to be more popular than others, you’d have to redistribute the bikes manually…every single day.
Now you can offer 5 different tours and leave the bike assignments to bookingkit. As soon as a bike is booked for Tour #1, the number of available bikes drops to 49 for all tours — completely automatically.
This saves you time and effort and guarantees your bikes are where you need them to be.
Scenario 3 — Four Dive Instructors, Two Difficulty Levels.
You want to offer diving expeditions in two different difficulty levels. Easy dives only require one diving instructor to be present on the dive. More difficult dives, however, require two instructors.
Before you could only offer one difficult dive if you also wanted to make at least one easy dive available for customers.
Now you can offer four easy dives and two difficult dives. Course availability is automatically adjusted according the scheduled times of each booking.
More courses, more options, more flexibility for your customers — and no extra time or effort required!

Note: The new resource management tool is designed to give you more options while continuing to ensure you have full control of your tours, activities and resources at all times. This means you can continue to (manually) assign participant quotas to optimize your service offerings, as well as process special offers by using the Cross-Selling module.
